About the Founder

Sumiati Harsono is the Founder and CEO of PT Edsum Citra Pesona, the company behind EDSUM — an Indonesian prebiotic hair and scalp care brand.

EDSUM began with her own routine. Balancing an active working life with regular exercise, she experienced first-hand a scalp that was often sweaty, flat and prone to dandruff. Watching her child's hair grow drier from frequent swimming made one thing clear: different lifestyles need different care.

She founded EDSUM to create haircare that follows the rhythm of daily life — prebiotic-based, vegan, halal, and formulated and produced in Indonesia. Today she leads the company's direction, from product development to partnerships and growth.

EDSUM makes prebiotic hair and scalp care — shampoo, scalp serum and hair oil — developed and produced in Indonesia, registered with BPOM, vegan and halal.
